5 Day Trip Fes To Marrakech
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar of Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga
Our private Morocco tour begins in the city of Fes. From there, we head to Ifrane, a charming mountain village renowned for its ski resort. We then proceed to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, a beautiful woodland teeming with wild monkeys, where we'll stop to take photos, feed the monkeys, and observe the local wildlife. Lunch will be enjoyed in Midelt, known as the "village of apples," before continuing to the fossil-rich and desert-laden city of Erfoud. We'll arrive in Merzouga, where we'll switch vehicles to ride camels, stroll through the desert, and spend the night in a Berber tent.
Day 2: Excursion in the desert of Merzouga
On this day, you'll explore the desert by 4x4 vehicle during your excursion to Merzouga. Visit nomadic families to learn about their unique lifestyle. Discover the oasis of Merzouga and experience Gnawa music at Khamlia village. Enjoy tasting a delicious Berber pizza. Return to the camel camp under the starry sky, dine on a traditional Berber meal accompanied by Berber music, and sleep overnight in Berber tents.
Day 3: Merzouga – Zagora Desert
This leg of our Moroccan adventure takes us from Merzouga to Zagora. Departing early, traverse the smaller Hammada desert plain along the route passing quaint villages and lush oases. The journey offers breathtaking views throughout. Arrive in Zagora and prepare for another unforgettable evening beneath the Sahara skies, followed by a restful night in comfortable accommodations.
