We offer a one-day tour to one of the most beautiful and attractive regions of Georgia – Kakheti. Kakheti is located in eastern Georgia and is known as the birthplace of wine. Yes, it was here that wine was invented 8,000 years ago, and today it is one of the most popular drinks all over the world. We will visit the village of Badiauri, where we will taste traditional Georgian bread shoti and three types of cheese: cow, goat, and sheep cheese. Next, we will stop in the village of Mzgiguli, where we will visit local farmers and taste three types of homemade wine along with traditional Georgian sweets. Our next stop will be the village of Bodbe, where we will visit the 4th-century church where Saint Nino, who brought Christianity to Sakartvelo (Georgia), is buried. From the Bodbe Monastery complex, you can enjoy stunning views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains. From Bodbe, we will head to the town of Sighnaghi, often compared to the Italian region of Tuscany. We will enjoy a walking tour through the central streets of the town for about 1 hour and 20 minutes. After that, we will travel to Telavi, the capital of the Kakheti region. In Telavi, we will see a 900-year-old plane tree (Chadra), which has witnessed many historical eras. Its diameter is 12 meters. Then we will stop at a restaurant for lunch, where we will taste four types of exquisite wine, produced according to 8,000-year-old winemaking traditions.
