It is a cooperative development support and networking body that brings together diverse local tourism cooperatives and grassroots groups involved in CBT. Through its strategic coordination, capacity building, and advocacy efforts, CBC creates a platform where communities lead tourism experiences—ensuring that the benefits of tourism reach the people who make it possible. CBC's core mission is to unlock economic opportunities, cultural pride, and sustainable development for Rwandan communities by enhancing their participation in tourism. Rather than operating tours itself, CBC serves as the backbone institution connecting community groups, facilitating knowledge exchange, and securing partnerships that propel CBT groups toward resilience and long-term success.
