If your trip falls on a Tuesday or Saturday, you’ll experience the vibrant weekly souk in Tahanaout — a colorful market where locals gather to buy and sell fresh produce, spices, handicrafts, and livestock. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience authentic Moroccan culture. From there, we travel deeper into the High Atlas Mountains to visit the oldest village in the region, famous for its traditional salt extraction. You’ll witness how locals have been harvesting salt for generations using time-honored techniques.
