Vimla Rugs

Vimla International, located in Jaipur, provides tourists and international buyers with a fully immersive carpet-making and cultural experience. Guests are greeted with traditional Rajasthani hospitality, which includes folk music, floral garlands, and a warm welcome at their factory showroom. A guided tour reveals the entire process of creating carpets – starting from dying yarns, spinning threads, manual weaving through to cleaning, finishing touches, and displaying finished products for inspection. Participants will have the chance to weave using looms themselves under close supervision by expert craftsmen who can share insights about centuries old techniques passed down over many generations. Following this workshop session, participants enjoy some typical regional cuisine along with refreshing beverages before embarking upon another part of the day's program - visiting nearby villages known for various handicrafts like pot making, lac bangles manufacturing, sari embellishment (Kashida Kari) etc., all within walking distance or short drive away. This enriching excursion lasts around three to four hours offering you genuine exposure towards understanding diverse aspects related to textiles & craft traditions deeply rooted in royal state of Rajasthan.
